U.S. Cellular Partners with Iowa Speedway for NASCAR Race

(Newton, IA) – U.S. Cellular has been named the major sponsor for the prestigious NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway this summer. The U.S. Cellular 250, scheduled for Saturday, August 1, is expected to draw the largest racing crowd in Iowa history.
“U.S. Cellular is revved up to be the title sponsor of this NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Iowa Speedway,” said Don Cochran, U.S. Cellular’s senior director of sales for the Central Region. “U.S. Cellular has been a proud Iowa Speedway partner since the track opened in 2006. Like many racing fans throughout Iowa and across the Midwest, we are very excited to be part of bringing the NASCAR Nationwide Series to Iowa for the first time when they visit the Iowa Speedway on August 1st.”
Jerry Jauron, Iowa Speedway’s President and Chief Financial Officer, said the sponsorship with U.S. Cellular creates tremendous synergy for the inaugural Nationwide Series race in Iowa, “The U.S. Cellular 250 will be an historic event and it brings together as partners four successful entities: NASCAR, the Nationwide Series, U.S. Cellular, and, of course, Iowa Speedway. In addition, Nationwide Insurance, the title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series and official auto, home and life insurance of NASCAR, has joined Iowa Speedway as an official sponsor.
