Sukup Manufacturing Co. Back as Race Sponsor and Official Partner

Sukup 100 will be Saturday, June 23, prior to the Iowa Corn Indy 250

NEWTON, Iowa – February 29, 2012 – Iowa Speedway is pleased to announce Sukup Manufacturing Co. will be back as the official sponsor of the Sukup 100 Firestone Indy Lights race on Saturday, June 23. In a weekend that is filled with open-wheel action, the Sukup 100 race will be held just hours prior to the Iowa Corn Indy 250 IZOD IndyCar Series race.

"Sponsoring the Sukup 100 Firestone Indy Lights race provides a great opportunity to connect with our current and potential customers as we join together to cheer our favorite drivers and the ethanol industry on to victory lane," says Sukup Manufacturing Co., CFO Steve Sukup.

Sukup Manufacturing Co., which manufactures a full line of grain storage, drying and handling equipment, as well as a new line of pre-engineered metal buildings, will also be an official partner of the Iowa Speedway in 2012.

“Last year, Sukup Manufacturing sent us several grains bins, which were customized into our guest service booths. Displaying their quality and craftsmanship, in a unique way, to our fans worked well for all,” said Chuck Spicer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Iowa Speedway. “Since Sukup’s product stood out so well, fans could easily find these booths and our event staff was able to help them. This year, fans can expect to see more Sukup items out here to make their experience even more enjoyable.”

The June 22 and 23 event weekend will be full of open-wheel action, showcasing some of the largest members of Iowa’s agriculture community. The Sukup 100 Firestone Indy Lights race will be in the afternoon, preceding the Iowa Corn Indy 250 IZOD IndyCar Series race starting at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23.
