NEWTON, IA – March 19, 2012 – The town of Newton, Iowa, will be alive this summer with bikers from around the country attending The Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally at the Iowa Speedway this July 25th - 28th.
Kicking the inaugural Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally into high gear is a meet and greet with stars of the hit FX Network TV series Sons of Anarchy, Katey Sagal “Gemma” and Charlie Hunnam “Jax.” Headlining music acts include Joe Diffie and Rev Theory, and the pyrotechnic ‘80s tribute band Hairball, with more headliner acts to be announced. Gallagher the Comedian is also bringing his smashing show to the Speedway rally.
“The Iowa Grand Rally is picking up steam every month, and I know all bikers will enjoy the inaugural rally. The lineup of entertainment from bands to motorcycle events keeps growing weekly. Vendors and sponsors are lining up for the event,” said Conrad Clement, Chairman of Iowa Speedway. “The city of Newton is really pushing this event, too. They are planning rides and several events around the city square during the rally.”
Rally co-producer and emcee, the legendary Jay Allen commented “The Iowa Grand is packed full of amazing events and entertainment. We’re uniting riders from all walks in life. We’ve got sport bike riders, long distance mile eaters and custom builders all coming together to throw down at this rockin’ Speedway venue. The Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally will be held Wednesday, July 25th - Saturday, July 28th at the Iowa Speedway, Exit 168 off I-80. Tent and RV camping is available. The Rally is accepting both general vendor and swap vendor applications online. More events and acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
