CASEY’S GENERAL STORES SUPPORTS 2012 MDA ‘MUSCLE TEAM’ EVENT
Iowa-based convenience store chain, Casey’s General Stores, is a primary corporate sponsor of the annual MDA ‘Muscle Team’ event, held this year in the Skinner Ballroom at Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino in Altoona this Thursday evening, November 8. The VIP Reception will commence at 5 pm, with the Dinner and Fundraising Program scheduled for 6 pm.
The MDA ‘Muscle Team’ is unlike any event in Central Iowa. The high profile sports themed dinner and auction attracts local and nationally known athletes who volunteer to flex their muscles alongside local MDA Youth Ambassadors. Together, the athletes and ambassadors create the Muscle Team.
This event allows the MDA Youth Ambassadors, whose muscle disease may limit their ability, to be part of a sports team, the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on a team with top athletes. The Muscle Team’s mission – to put ‘muscle’ behind MDA’s dedicated quest to find treatments and cures for neuromuscular disease.
Everyone on the Casey’s team – from the President & CEO to the store employees – is behind the effort to help MDA raise much-needed funds with this ‘Muscle Team’ event, with the ultimate goal of curing muscular dystrophy and other related illnesses, and Iowa Speedway salutes our longtime promotional partner for their dedication and commitment to this worthy charitable cause.
