SPECIAL LONG-DISTANCE ‘HORSEPOWER HOUR’ TO FEATURE DAYTONA SPEEDWEEK ACTIVITIES
The ‘Horsepower Hour’ radio show will feature Daytona Speedweek insider information and observations this Monday evening, February 8th, as Iowa Speedway Vice President and co-host Craig Armstrong broadcasts his portion of The Fastest Hour on Radio© from the Daytona 500 Experience studios at the World Center of Racing. The show will air at its regular time slot (6 to 7 pm CST) on Iowa’s Best Country, KIX 101.1, as well as streamed live online at www.kixweb.com.
“I thrilled that I’ll have the opportunity to talk with so many of the key players during Speedweek in Daytona,” Armstrong said. “Our listeners love to get the real ‘inside scoop’ about the sport, especially when it affects what happens here at Iowa Speedway, and I intend to get it for them . . . along with a big dollop of ‘stories behind the news’, and lots of racetrack rumors.”
Listeners may call in to the show using the toll-free line, 800-753-6101, or e-mail questions and comments to HorsepowerHour@gmail.com. All calls or e-mails used on the show will enter the individuals who do so in a drawing for hot laps in the Official Pace Car during each of Iowa Speedway’s four major event weekends in 2010.
Presented by Culver’s and co-hosted by “Morning KIX Start” on-air personality Todd Collins, who will hold forth in the show’s Marshalltown Broadcasting home studio, ‘Horsepower Hour’ airs every Monday evening throughout the entire 2010 racing season.
