Horsepower Hour to Broadcast Live From the Newton Club on Monday, July 26th

 

Iowa Speedway's weekly radio show, Horsepower Hour, will kick off Iowa's NASCAR Nationwide Series race week by broadcasting live from the track's exclusive Newton Club, this Monday, July 26th.  The public is invited, and admission to the live audience-articipation event is free.
Monday's live guests will include NASCAR star and Des Moines native Michael Annett, who will be competing in the 'US Cellular 250 Presented by John Deere & Northland Oil' NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, July 31st.  Annett will meet and greet fans, and sign autographs before and after his radio interview.
Country music star Easton Corbin will be calling the show to talk about his concert at Iowa Speedway on Friday night, July 30th following the USAR Pro Cup stock car race, and the Tama County Pork Producers will be grilling and serving complimentary pork sandwiches to everyone who attends this final 2010 Newton Club Horsepower Hour broadcast.
Race fans in attendance will also have a chance to win one of many door prizes, plus Newton Club and grandstand tickets to both the Pro Cup Race on Friday night and the Nationwide race on Saturday in a special edition of the brain-teaser game, "Trivial Track Trivia."
Newton Club doors will open at 5:00 PM on Monday, and the party will continue until 7:30 PM.  In addition to the pork sandwiches, free snacks will provided by Ovations, and Brian Smith, the owner of Culver's in Newton and Marshalltown, will serve complimentary samples of Culver's famous frozen custard.  The Newton Club bars will also be open for purchasing soft drinks, beer, wine and mixed drinks.
Horsepower Hour will air on Iowa's Best Country, KIX 101.1, in its normal time slot, from 6-7 PM Central.  The show may also be heard online at www.kixweb.com.
Iowa Speedway is located just south of Interstate 80 at Exit 168 in Newton.  Race fans may enter the facility through track's main vehicle gate, located on Rusty Wallace Drive next tot he Newton Municipal Airport, and park in the paved lot directly behind the Suite Tower.  The Newton Club is located on the ground floor of the Suite Tower.
