‘BLUE OX’ TO SPONSOR 150-LAP PRO CUP RACE AT IOWA SPEEDWAY
Nebraska based towing equipment manufacturer, Blue Ox, has just signed on to sponsor the 150-lap USARacing Pro Cup series stock car race at Iowa Speedway on Friday evening, July 30. Slated for the night before the track’s second annual NASCAR Nationwide Series race, the event will be formally known as the ‘Blue Ox 150’.
Known by race fans that travel extensively to watch racing throughout the country, Blue Ox is a third generation, family owned company who specializes in manufacturing towing equipment for every application. The ‘Blue Ox 150’ will be part of the biggest race weekend of the 2010 Iowa Speedway season, concluding with the Saturday, July 31st running of the ‘U.S. Cellular 250’.
“Blue Ox has a reputation for providing customers with top quality products and quality service and is a wonderful addition to our Iowa Speedway family,” said Karen Owen, Sales Manager at Iowa Speedway. “Our goal is to partner with companies such as Blue Ox to provide our fans access to the businesses they know and trust.”
Adding Iowa Speedway to its list of racing partners, which currently includes Kansas Motor Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, Daytona International Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway and Park Jefferson Speedway, was not a hard decision for Jay Hesse, Blue Ox CEO.
“Iowa Speedway is our home track and we’ve looked at partnering together for a number years and this year the timing was right,” Hesse said. “The decision to partner with Iowa was an easy one due not only to their close proximity to our Pender, Nebraska headquarters, but also the number of fans, RV’ers, customers and potential customers who attend the race.
