Part-Time Maintenance/Tram Drivers
Overview:
Iowa Speedway is excited to be accepting applications for the 2015 race-season for part-time maintenance and race weekend tram diver positions.   

Maintenance Personnel/Tram Drivers are responsible for a wide range of duties, including grounds keeping, track repairs and building repairs.  During event weekends, maintenance personnel are responsible for pre-race staging, hospitality set-up, banner and sign placement, and for safely driving trucks and tractors that pull trams on an assigned route.  Team members are required to respond quickly to requests in a friendly manner and be proactive in greeting and assisting fans when interacting with them.

These positions require weekday and weekend work, as scheduled.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and should have a background in building trades or facility maintenance, as well as experience with operation of various forms of heavy equipment, including tractors, forklifts and mowers.  Candidates must be able to receive instruction from supervisor and communicate progress and completion of assignment.  Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 pounds and must possess a valid driver’s license.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Security
Overview:
Iowa Speedway is excited to be accepting applications for the 2015 race-season for part-time security positions.

Security personnel are responsible for screening guests for proper tickets and credentials throughout the facility during race weekends.  Team members will be expected to assist in maintaining the safety and security of our guests and competitors at Iowa Speedway while providing great customer service to our fans.  We are looking for team members with excellent interpersonal communication skills, who pay attention to detail, and possess the ability to remain calm and collected under pressure.     

These positions require weekday and weekend work, as scheduled.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be 21 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.   Previous security or law enforcement experience is helpful.  Candidates should be professional in appearance, have good communication skills, and be willing to work in an outdoor environment.  Qualified candidates must be able to walk up and down flights of stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Housekeeper
Overview:
Iowa Speedway is excited to be accepting applications for part-time housekeeping staff.

Part-time housekeeping staff are responsible for maintaining buildings around the facility and for prepping for, and cleaning up after, private facility rentals as needed.  All cleaning supplies and toiletries will be provided by Iowa Speedway.

These positions require weekday and weekend work, as scheduled.

Qualifications:
Candidates should have commercial cleaning experience, be attentive to detail, and have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.  Qualified candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Maintenance-Electrician
Overview:
Iowa Speedway is excited to be accepting applications for a 2015 race-season, part-time, maintenance electrician.

Maintenance electrical personnel are responsible for a wide range of duties, including assisting vendors with power hook ups, trouble shooting electrical problems around the facility, placing and removing temporary power cables, turning on and off track lighting and repairing existing electrical equipment. Team members are required to respond quickly to requests in a friendly manner and be proactive in greeting and assisting fans when interacting with them

This position requires weekday and weekend work, as scheduled.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a State of Iowa journeyman electrical license. Candidates must be able to receive instruction from supervisor and communicate progress and completion of assignment.  Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 pounds and must possess a valid driver’s license.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

FAST (Fire and Safety Team)
Overview:
Iowa Speedway is excited to be accepting applications for the 2015 race-season for part-time, Firefighter, EMT, and Paramedic positions to work on the Fire & Safety Team.

Members of the Fire & Safety Team are responsible for the safety and well-being of our guests and competitors at Iowa Speedway while providing great customer service to our fans.  We are looking for team members with excellent interpersonal communication skills, who pay attention to detail, and possess the ability to remain calm and collected under pressure.     

This position requires weekday and weekend work, as scheduled.

Team members must complete the one day NASCAR Advanced Training Program offered by Iowa Speedway on April 25 or 26, 2015.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a valid C.P.R. Certification, be at least 21 years of age, and have a reliable means of communication, preferably an E-mail account.   Candidates must be able to work NASCAR Events May 17, June 19, & Aug 2, 2014.  All other race dates are optional.

If applying for a Firefighter position, candidates must possess a Firefighter I Certification or higher

If applying for an EMT position, candidates must possess a valid State of Iowa EMT or Paramedic Certification (EMT’ s and Paramedics are not required to have Firefighter I)

Accountant (Part-Time)
Responsible for activities involving cash receipts and accounts payable, the Part Time Accountant will also assist with other administrative duties (i.e. Human Resources) for an average of 25 hours per week. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

Cash Receipts:

  • Scan checks
  • Prepare and submit electronic bank deposits

Accounts Payable:

  • Scan invoices into automated A/P system (WebNow)
  • Link invoices with data in accounting software (Great Plains)
  • Electronically route invoices to approvers
  • Build weekly check batches for payment
  • Manage queues in automated A/P system (WebNow)
  • Manage the purchasing card system and it’s integration with WebNow and Great Plains
  • Collaborate with corporate Accounts Payable team
  • Collaborate with corporate Cash team
  • Work with vendors to resolve A/P issues

Human Resources:

  • Assist with background screenings and processing of paperwork for new hires
  • Perform local onboarding processes for new hires

Other administrative duties may be performed as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree and two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent computer skills and attention to detail are required. Experience with Great Plains software preferred. Iowa Speedway offers an exciting fast paced environment with competitive pay.
