NEWTON, Iowa (August 28, 2019) — Iowa Speedway and U.S. Cellular, the fifth-largest full-service wireless carrier in the United States, today announced a multi-year sponsorship renewal that will extend the relationship through 2021.

U.S. Cellular has been Iowa Speedway‘s official wireless partner since 2006 and has served as the NASCAR Xfinity Series U.S. Cellular 250 title sponsor since 2009.

“I tell people all the time that one of the great things about professional sports is the relationships you have a chance to develop over the years and I don‘t know if there is a better example than what we have with U.S. Cellular,” said Iowa Speedway President David Hyatt. “And what‘s amazing is how it has continued through the years.

“U.S. Cellular is helping chart the future of Iowa Speedway and we get to build upon that foundation with enhanced focus and an even-stronger relationship.”

U.S. Cellular has been a part of nearly every major moment in Iowa Speedway history including the inaugural NASCAR Xfinity Series U.S. Cellular 250 when Brad Keselowski passed Kyle Busch with eight laps remaining to win at Iowa Speedway in 2009.

“U.S. Cellular is proud to have served as Iowa Speedway‘s Official Wireless Partner since 2006, and we look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come,” said Mike Adams, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Iowa.

Next year will mark 15 years of racing at Iowa Speedway. For the fifth consecutive year, Wide Opening Weekend will feature both the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series and the NASCAR Xfinity Series on June 12-13, 2020.

The ARCA Menards Series will take the green flag on Friday, July 17. The NTT IndyCar Series will again hit The Fastest Short Track on the Planet for the Iowa 300 on Saturday, July 18, giving fans a full complement of stock car and open wheel racing during INDYCAR weekend.

The 2020 Iowa Speedway racing season concludes July 31-August 1 with another world-class NASCAR doubleheader featuring the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series 150 and the NASCAR Xfinity Series U.S. Cellular 250.
