Speedway donates nearly $10,000 in contributions this holiday season
NEWTON, Iowa (Dec. 19, 2019) — The spirit of giving is not just a seasonal belief at Iowa Speedway; it‘s the racetrack‘s way of doing business. Giving back to the community while providing a valuable fund-raising platform for the community year-round.
Iowa Speedway Cares will donate nearly $10,000 to local service groups and organizations this holiday season. Iowa Speedway Cares is a donor advised fund of the NASCAR Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As the charitable arm of Iowa Speedway, our mission is to support youth-focused organizations in central Iowa.
“We‘re happy to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors,” said Iowa Speedway President David Hyatt. “When we launched Iowa Speedway Cares, we knew it had the ability to benefit those in the community and we are seeing that come to fruition.”

- Combat Hunger — Food Bank of Iowa
- Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa — State of Iowa
- Newton Community Educational Foundation — Newton High School
- Friends of Newton Parks — Newton Community
- WEST Academy — Newton Community School District
- Nick‘s Christmas Club — Jasper County
- Variety — the Children‘s Charity — State of Iowa
